Dehesa of the Canons rises along the Douro River near Pesquera, one of those simple buildings, rural court. Its appearance reflects the long history of an agricultural holding where the wine had more or less important depending on the social and economic context. Ships of more than 150 years, now restored, still retain the majestic arrangement of beams and adobe walls eighty centimeters thick, which is a great insulator to maintain proper temperature in the production and aging of wines. The winery, founded in 1988, is a set of small buildings grouped around a house that is still living and in which the owner Luis Sanz today, lives with his. But the landscape quickly dispels any doubt; after the cellar-dwelling, a lush Mediterranean pine forest extends to the banks of the Duero, whose waters mark the boundary of the estate; and the front part in the plain and part perching on the hills, lies the unmistakable coastal vineyard.
