Pendon de Aguilera a tempranillo from vines over 80 years and the result of a thorough selection process and development. Was the own Juan Luis Cañas responsible for transmitting the values and philosophy of the winery founded in 2008 in the La Aguilera and this new exclusive wine in every way: the limited edition of 3,240 bottles ( to which are added 150 in magnum format and 30 double magnum), by the age of the vines, the rigorous selection of grapes, careful fermentation and aging of 27 months in new French oak barrels.
Also for the price, which will be around 215 euros in store, from which the winery has pledged to donate 25 euros each bottle to social work. The wine itself responds to this end, in a way, since its inception in small vineyards worked by older wine growers who look and live the tradition of the field, five vineyards located about 800 meters under a rational viticulture and respect to the environment. The winery has opted for the recovery of uneconomic vineyards, as explained Juan Luis Cañas, where living dead strains with white grape and other varieties such as grenache red or bobal, so sometimes there is only 50 percent of tempranillo. Sparse but exquisite.
