Torrecastillo winery begins in the 80s when Antonio Lopez "TORRES" winegrower of life, leaving the cooperative to undertake with the help of his son, Julian Lopez making their own wines. After several years and seeing the potential quality of our old vineyard Monastrell, constructed in 1996 Torrecastillo with the latest technology in the production of fine wines. Work continues on viticulture planting different varieties and increasing the wine extension to the current 100 hectares. In 1998 the aging cellar with a capacity of 700 barrels and the bottling plant is built. Currently Bodega Torrecastillo is a family, young but with a long experience in viticulture winery, controlling the entire vineyard, processing and marketing of its wines from its own vineyards in Montealegre del Castillo.
