QUALITY AND AUTHENTICITY
Nestled in the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs three generations, on the grounds reputed classified Grandes Crus such as Avize, Cramant, Oger and Mesnil / Oger, the Champagne De Sousa e Hijos, allying security of originality and authenticity, ensuring value - great price. At the head of the farm since 1986, Michelle and Erick De Sousa live to the rhythm of the vineyard, an adventure where passion perpetually joins with tradition.
A desire to maintain the old vines: - Either for prestigious vintages: selection of vines over 50 years very low yields (25 to 30% less than the name to 8 500 feet / ha) - Either for other crops: average of 70% of vines over 25 years. Also in this case yields are low, but the expression of terroir is very strong and maturation is very good at the time of the harvest.
Always thanks to old vines, certificates C.E.E organic manures, compost use, as well as a reasonable use of plant protection products. Step by biodynamic since 1999.
